If your job is building, then you are at risk of inhaling wood dusts, silica dusts, welding fumes, gypsum, calcium silicate, cement and mineral fibres - which contribute to 19,000 new cases of respiratory illnesses every year.

You may be aware of the risks associated with asbestos and received awareness training, but not had the same for construction dusts - and yet, they can be just as hazardous to a new generation of builders. That's why we run a dedicated half-day, online awareness course to make you aware of the risks, and your COSHH compliance duties.

Online specifics

The tutor will send an invite to the delegate, via Microsoft Teams or Webex, 1 week before the course.

A webcam, microphone, study area free of distractions and a good internet bandwidth connection are required for online training.

Who is this course suitable for?

This course is suitable to those workers in the refurbishment, maintenance and building trades where it is foreseeable that they may be exposed to wood dusts, silica dusts, welding fumes, gypsum, calcium silicate, cement and mineral fibres during their work.
